"Hear eye see" — Alternative notation
The relationship between sound and image has always been at the center of research on a graphic design and scientific level. When both are about structure, one tends to be invisible and ungraspable. Still, sound and music possess a glossary close to the one of image (Harmony, frequencies, composition, rhythm…).
Music is defined as the art of combining, structuring and/or organising sound and silence in time. It can be seen as a science as much as an art. Almost all kinds of culture make music and are sensitive to it. Music, as a language, possesses a system of signs communicating space and time through several formats.
One of the oddities of music is its existence under several states and times, written or performed.
